What makes the film personal?+
Your video plays, without sound, on Santa’s tablet. Each child’s own photo appears on Santa’s Nice List boards. A photo of them all together goes in the middle of his boards and into a little surprise with Rudolph (with one child, their own photo does both). Each first name is written in Santa’s Nice List and ticked off, and at the end their names appear on the moon as the narrator wishes them goodnight.
Which files can I add?+
A photo of each child on their own, and one video from your phone: of them together, or of your one child. With two or three children, add one photo of them all together too. Photos can be JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB each. After adding each photo, you fit it into its frames: move and zoom it until every face sits inside, and see it just as the film will show it. The video can be any length, up to 500 MB. Santa watches the first 8½ seconds, without sound, so trim the clip on your phone first if you’d like a different moment. Upright clips work, but a video filmed sideways fills Santa’s tablet best. For the photo of them all together, hold your phone upright and keep everyone close.
Who appears in the film?+
Your children are the stars: up to three from the same family in one film. Their video appears on Santa’s tablet, their photos go on Santa’s boards and into a little surprise with Rudolph, and each first name goes in Santa’s Nice List. Parents do not appear with Santa in this film.
Can I add a written message or name?+
Add each child’s first name. The names are written in Santa’s Nice List and on the moon, and at the end the narrator wishes them goodnight by name: “Sleep tight, [their names]. May all your wishes come true.” Press “Hear it” to listen to that exact line before you save: the recording you approve is the one in your film. The names are also printed on a Nice List certificate included with the film. Parent-written messages are not included.
How long is the film, and what will it cost?+
The film is about three minutes long and costs £25. That includes up to three children from the same family, with no extra charge for each child. Three is the most we can fit in one film. Every order also comes with a second film, free, for you to give to another family. The gift film can be made until Christmas Eve, 6pm. Most films are ready within an hour; in the busiest week before Christmas, allow up to 24 hours.
What if we have more than three children?+
Use your free gift film for the others. Every £25 order comes with one, and you can make it for more of your own children instead of sending it to another family.
Are my video and photos public?+
No. Your files and saved drafts are attached to your account and available through your private library.
